And all was calm......
That seems a very wistful thought at the moment.
For those who are planning a return to work, for those who are worried about their jobs or finances.
For those who are waiting to go back to school , for those who are fearful of stepping out.
For those who are on their own , for those who are surrounded by families....
And all was calm. Luke 8 vs 24
I feel as if today we are in that tiny boat with the disciples , being tossed around the stormy seas worried and anxious over so many things, as the Breton Fishermen prayer observes:
"The sea is so wide and my boat is so small.."
Yet Jesus slept throughout, peaceful and calm, assured in the knowledge that God was there and all would be well. We are promised that although our boat may be rocked we will never be left shipwrecked, that we are in God's hands and he will not let us go......
And all was calm.... It is not up to us.
"Dear God, be good to me; The sea is so wide, And my boat is so small."
