I've been sitting at my kitchen table today doing some work and watching the goings on at the bird table. It seems to me that Macy ( the dog ) has a deal going on with the rather fat woodpigeons. They land on the table and, being a bit big, flap around sending grain everywhere which she can then stroll out of the dog flap and enjoy any time she chooses.
It reminded me of the faith of the Canaanite woman
"Even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their master's table." willing to take any small scrap she could, believing even just the crumbs would be enough to make a difference - no wonder Jesus was moved to say
"Woman, you have great faith! Your request is granted." And her daughter was healed at that moment."
Matthew 15 vs 21-28
