Last night at college I went to an Ethics lecture on Euthanasia, Assisted Suicide and end of life care, given by John Wyatt. Not the most comfortable subject matter, and not areas that we tend to discuss very often in the church in general, yet becoming increasingly important to talk about.
It was an excellent lecture, which made me want to read more ( he has written many books on this area for anyone interested). I came away thinking about how much we fear and worry that which we cannot control and how much God wants us to take that from us.
At the very least I can't help wondering if we would find it helpful to talk more openly on these issues which touch us all.
