This morning's walk was very wet and the landscape seemed to be dark and grey, yet there was still something lovely in its colours, the richness of the earth and the coolness of the rain as the season begins to change. I carried with me this verse from morning prayer,
" Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. " 2 Timothy 6 vs 17
In such uncertain times, it seemed good to remember and to think on all that God provides for our enjoyment, even on very wet dog walks.
