What now?

Last night I finished my Chocolate Lindt Bunny . Eldest has gone back to university, youngest is GCSE bound and I am back at work and sitting in front of a pile of mocks for marking. After all the celebrations of the past few weeks of Easter it is tempting to feel a bit - What now -ish?

However if it feels a bit like that for me I was thinking about how it must have felt for the disciples, all that excitement, all the possibilities and then.....

So they went fishing, back to normal, back to the routine but Jesus met them there.
"As the sun was rising, Jesus stood at the water's edge, but the disciples did not know that it was Jesus." John 21 vs 4

We are truly back to the routine, but the landscape is different. How can we be disciples in the day to day? What does it mean for the way we treat our families, our colleagues, yes even our fellow drivers?  What does it change about the things that worry us - our workload, our anxieties?

Jesus rose again, he is standing at the water's edge - we just need to recognise it.
